The eagerly awaited second book in the Flight of the Kestrel science fiction series is launched on Kindle on Wednesday 3rd October. It's available for pre-order now. Alien Secrets will be only 99c/99p (or the equivalent in other currencies) for the first 5 days. The story can be read alone but if you want to read book one, Intruders, it will be the same price at the same time.
That's two whole novels for less than $2/£2! AND read on for news of a special reward.
So what's it about?
On a failed mission to look for a secret weapon, Shom Reuel of the Kestrel saves a man – twice. It seems everyone wants him, but is he a friend or a deadly enemy? And will the shock of his identity cause Reuel to reveal his people’s greatest secret?
Each of the Kestrel books features a different crew member. Intruders featured Captain Joseph Darrow and Trainee Tabitha Enns. Alien Secrets features Ensign Shom Reuel, who is Altarian, and a mystery man named Tanu. Altarians are humanoid, tall and slim, with bright pink skin and a row of soft spines down the centre of their heads instead of hair. They also have a secret they want kept from the rest of the galaxy.
As an extra incentive to buy Alien Secrets in the first 5 days, if you send me your Amazon receipt, I will send you a short story, Hope Deferred, about how the First Officer Nathaniel Parks damaged his shoulder and was withdrawn from active service. He was called up as temporary First Officer in Intruders and is the permanent First Officer in Alien Secrets (if you want to find out how come, you need to read Intruders), and this is his backstory. This has never been published and is not available anywhere else. Send your receipt to amt dot tetelestai at gmail dot com.
